How Tight Should My Lever Belt Be?
A lever belt should be tight enough to provide support to your lower back and abdominal muscles during weight lifting, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable or restrictive. When you first put on the belt, it should be snug, but you should be able to breathe normally and move freely. You should be able to fit one or two fingers under the belt when it is tightened properly. If you are unable to fit any fingers under the belt or if you feel like you cannot take a full breath while wearing the belt, it is likely too tight. It is a good idea to adjust the belt to the proper fit before you begin lifting to ensure that you have proper support.
